September 28 to October 14, 2007
Every year, the National Capital Commission invites you to experience the magical fall colours of Gatineau Park, located only 15 minutes from Parliament Hill.
How to get the most from fall activities in Gatineau Park in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere?
- Visit mid-week to experience the autumn splendour at its tranquil best.
- Explore over 90 kilometres of trails by bicycle or on foot.
- Admire the fall colours at scenic Philippe Lake or Camp Fortune.
- Enjoy activities for the whole family at the Visitor Centre and learn about the hidden treasures in the Park.
- Discover the Luskville Falls sector. An interpretive path will take you to the Falls and then on to the top of the Eardley Escarpment, giving you a spectacular view of the Ottawa Valley.

Noontime concerts, weekdays, at the Mackenzie King Estate.
- October 1 and 9: Liam Jaeger, guitar and violin
- October 2, 4 and 10: Emmanuel Beaudet, viola and cello
- October 3, 5, 11 and 12: String Duo, violin and cello
- Sugarbush Trail Evening Tour, evening of Friday, September 28:
- Guided hikes with an NCC nature interpreter. Visitors will have a chance
to discover some of the natural attractions of Gatineau Park, and experience the forest
at night. Surprises are sure to be in store! (Limit: 100 participants) - The exhibit marking Ottawa’s 150th anniversary as Canada’s capital will be on display at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre during the month of October.
- Researchers’ Day, Saturday, October 13
- The Ottawa Voyageurs Walking Club, Saturday, September 29:
- Group hike, for the general public, to explore the trails leading from the
Relais plein air du parc de la Gatineau to Pink Lake.
- Departs from Relais plein air du parc de la Gatineau (parking lot P2),
at 397 Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard, in Gatineau.
- Three hikes to choose from: 5, 10 and 13 kilometres.
- Sign up at the Relais plein air du parc de la Gatineau, between 9 am and 10:30 am.
