Can You Dig It?

Every Sunday and Wednesday in July, kids can dig for artifacts while learning the basics of archaeology. Discover how to dig, date and decipher artifacts, and see the process of how they get from the earth to museums. Ages 6+.

Louis Helbig: Beautiful Destruction: Alberta Tar Sands Aerial Photographs

Louis Helbig's aerial images teeter between documentary and abstract. The tension between their beauty and what they represent stimulates both thought and imagination. These images result from the photographer's 2008 cross-country journey in his antique aircraft, a 1946 Luscombe.
