BYO Snowshoes as the Friends of Gatineau Park mark the 2013 Heritage Day theme ‘Good Neighbours: Heritage Homes and Neighbourhoods’.  Your guide is a descendant of a Chelsea community member who worked at the Estate in the old days. 

We’ll be tracking some stories of Mr. King’s Chelsea and Kingsmere neighbours, from such dear friends as the Pattesons  --- to the unfortunate honey bear!

(Snowshoe rentals available many places, including NCC’s Gatineau Park Visitor’s Centre en route to Kingsmere)

start from P6 (Moorside lot, winter access via Kingsmere Road, Swamp Road then Barnes Road)
