Safety Notice: All open air fires are prohibited throughout Gatineau Park

Quebec’s forest fire prevention agency, the Société de protection des forêts contre le feu (SOPFEU), has declared restrictions on all open air fires throughout the entire area of Western Quebec.  This applies to Gatineau Park, Leamy Lake Park and all of the NCC's parks located in Quebec.  The restriction includes campgrounds, picnic areas and beaches. 

Campfires and the use of charcoal-burning barbecues are prohibited during this time; propane gas barbecues are permitted.

These restrictions will remain in force until further notice.

The NCC requests the cooperation of all Park visitors during this extremely dry period.
