Back-Country Ski Trails
Gatineau Park’s back-country trails offer skiers the chance for a unique recreational experience.
However, only advanced skiers should make use of these trails. The Park’s back-country trails are not mechanically groomed, and the deeper snow found there can make skiing conditions considerably difficult. In addition, the time it takes for first aid assistance to reach a skier can be much greater on ungroomed trails.
For your safety, we recommend that you carry a small first aid kit, extra clothing, a snack and trail map. Do not ski alone, ensure that someone knows your itinerary and carry some means of communication
