Indulge in the great Canadian pastime of spending a peaceful afternoon canoeing on a lake surrounded by nature. You can canoe and kayak on Meech Lake, Philippe Lake and La Pêche Lake. Boat rentals are available at Philippe Lake and La Pêche Lake.

For park conservation reasons, the use of motorized boats is limited in Gatineau Park. Also, dogs and pets are not permitted near any bodies of water in Gatineau Park.

Boating Locations

• Meech Lake — McCloskey boat launch
• Philippe Lake — Boat launch and rental
• La Pêche Lake — Boat launch and rental

Boat Rentals

You can rent a boat at two locations in Gatineau Park:

• Philippe Lake — canoes, rowboats, kayaks (single and double) and pedal boats
• La Pêche Lake — canoes, rowboats and kayaks (single and double)

Boat rentals include two paddles and two life jackets. Extra life jackets and paddles cost $1 per hour or $3 per day.

Canoe reservations can be made for large groups (10 canoes or more) by calling the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre.

Hours of Service

For each location, the last rental is two hours before closing.

Facilities

Washrooms	There are washrooms at the Philippe, La Pêche and Meech Lake beaches.
Parking	There is parking throughout the Park. Vehicle access fees are in effect when parking at Philippe Lake, La Pêche Lake or Meech Lake.
