Parliament Hill
Parliament Hill is home to Canada’s federal government, where representatives from across Canada gather to make laws that affect the lives of every Canadian. It is also much more. A place to meet, a place to celebrate, and a place to visit, Parliament Hill is the symbolic heart of our nation.
Parliament is made up of three buildings. The Centre Block features the Peace Tower, the Library of Parliament and the House of Commons and Senate chambers. The East Block has historic and restored rooms that look much like they did at Confederation in 1867. The West Block houses offices for members of parliament and is closed to the public.
The picturesque grounds of Parliament Hill have many monuments and commemorations to discover. Learn more about the buildings and grounds on the Parliament Hill website.
Mosaika — Sound and Light Show
Experience the visual and sound sensation that is Mosaika — Canada through the eyes of its people. The bilingual show is projected on Parliament’s Centre Block and takes place every evening from July 6 to September 3, 2012 (weather permitting).
Guided Tours
A number of guided tours are offered at Canada’s Parliament, both indoors and around the grounds.
