In collaboration with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, the NCC has created an online forum as well as a series of Capital Conversations to engage Canadians across the country. The Capital Conversations series continues in Halifax on Tuesday, October 18.
Date: Tuesday, October 18, 2011
Where: Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21
1055 Marginal Road
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Time: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Have your say in the future of Canada’s Capital
Zen provocateur and urban futurist Prataap Patrose will open the discussion with a keynote address. HRMbyDESIGN’s Andy Fillmore, community leader Reverend Rhonda Y. Britton, and architect and urban planner Frank Palermo will discuss their views on building great cities, including creating a more vibrant, sustainable, and representative capital city for Canada and for Nova Scotia.
The public is invited to take part in this open forum, moderated by Christine Macy, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at Dalhousie University.
Marie Lemay, NCC Chief Executive Officer and André Préfontaine, Executive Director of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society will also participate in this conversation.
This forum is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
