Local Residents Help Build Capital Vision

From Conversations to Vision in Ottawa and Gatineau

This February, about 200 residents from Canada’s Capital Region took part in public workshops about the future of their Capital. Thank you!

Starting with the feedback we received in our Canada-wide consultations, we asked local residents to help us turn these ideas into vision. The two workshops took place in Ottawa and Gatineau on February 21 and 22, 2012.

Workshop participants looked at ideas related to representation, vibrancy and sustainability and helped to identify those with a “Wow!” factor. They also suggested ways these ideas could be realized.

At each workshop, participants’ contributions were captured live by a graphic illustrator. The colourful tapestry images weave together the ideas provided during the workshop discussions.

Stay tuned for a full report on the results of the workshops and the related online questionnaire.
