Gatineau Park Sustainable Transportation Plan
To minimize the environmental impact of traffic on Gatineau Park resources, the NCC is developing the Gatineau Park Sustainable Transportation Plan.
At Gatineau Park, preserving natural and cultural resources is a priority. With over 2.7 million visits to the park each year, traffic can be a problem, especially during peak times. The Gatineau Park Sustainable Transportation Plan will evaluate the impacts of transportation in the park and provide alternate solutions.
The plan is being developed in line with the Gatineau Park Master Plan objectives. Collaboration is key and the NCC is working with the municipalities and other partners, as well as consulting the public.
Plan Development and Consultations
The Gatineau Park Sustainable Transportation Plan is being developed in three phases, with consultations held during each phase.
Take part in the plan! Upcoming consultations on the Gatineau Park Sustainable Transportation Plan are announced here and on the public consultations page.
Phase 1: Assessment

- Identify transportation-related issues
- Evaluate the impact of transportation issues on the Gatineau Park environment and visitor experience.
