The NCC is responsible for developing, preserving and improving Canada’s Capital Region for Canadians. The Ottawa–Gatineau region should properly reflect its role as the seat of the Canadian government and be a source of Canadian pride. Development and rehabilitation projects are therefore a key NCC priority.

Development Projects

The NCC engages in development projects by completely funding and developing its own projects, by collaborating with partners or by providing input on projects.

Rehabilitation Projects (Life Cycle Management)

The NCC also works to ensure that its assets are highly maintained and that public health and safety are protected accordingly. The management framework for this work is called life cycle management.
