Imagine discovering a world of dinosaurs, mammals, minerals, creepy crawlies, countless bird species and a blue whale — all in a castle in downtown Ottawa.

The completely renovated Canadian Museum of Nature offers world-class galleries, interactive exhibitions and engaging programs.

At the Canadian Museum of Nature, your students can:

  • Meet Tallulah the 19-metre Blue Whale in the RBC Water Gallery
  • Walk through a dinosaur forest in the Talisman Energy Fossil Gallery
  • Marvel at dazzling minerals and rocks in the Vale Earth Gallery
  • Get nose to nose with a tarantula and other eye-popping creatures in Animalium
  • See Canada’s most amazing wildlife in the Mammal Gallery
  • Peer at one of the largest collections of North American birds in the Bird Gallery

Students can participate in natural science workshops and watch high-definition nature documentaries.

Your students will also enjoy the castle-like appearance of the Canadian Museum of Nature, which is located in the historic Victoria Memorial Museum Building.
