The Capital Information Kiosk is more than an information centre. You'll find a complete range of services and tools to help you plan your visit to Ottawa and Gatineau. And you can count on a warm welcome from our friendly and helpful staff!

Whether you're looking for information by phone or in person, we can help. When you start your visit at the Capital Information Kiosk, you start out on the right foot!

Capital Information Kiosk is located in downtown Ottawa, close to many attractions.

Visitor Parking ($)

Parking (24-hour) is available at the World Exchange Plaza. Entrances to the underground parking lot are located on Metcalfe and Queen streets.

Parking fees apply Monday through Friday (including statutory holidays), but parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that parking fees are not reimbursed by the Capital Information Kiosk.

Your Guides to the Capital

Explore the highlights of Canada’s Capital using our helpful maps and guides. You can download some of them here or get print guides at the Capital Information Kiosk.

  • The Confederation Boulevard map provides an excellent route for visiting the main attractions in downtown Ottawa and Gatineau.
  • Discover the Heart of the Capital — Explore the sights along Confederation Boulevard on foot or by bike. These self-guided tours (three walking and one by bike) will take you to Parliament Hill, museums, monuments, heritage sites, and more!
  • Discover the Hill — Take a self-guided tour of the grounds of Parliament Hill, where monuments and symbols bring to life the rich history of our political past.
  • Street SmART — From dancing bears and giant spiders to monuments celebrating Canada’s heritage and achievements, you’ll find them all in downtown Ottawa and Gatineau. Explore the Capital’s public art on foot with Street SmART to guide and inform you along the way.
  • Decoding Art — Discover art in a whole new way! If you see a red maple leaf on or near a monument, scan the QR code with your smart phone. You’ll be able to access audio guides that tell you the story behind the monument. There are versions for kids too!

When wandering along Confederation Boulevard, keep an eye out for our roving information officers. They’ll be happy to answer your questions, point you in the right direction and provide you with information.
